Your reading stays yours
Short version: WaziSoma never collects the text you read or paste. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.
Last updated: October 3, 2026
The website (wazisoma.com)
- Your text never leaves your device. Ink Mode, Focus, and all enhancements run entirely in your browser. We don't store, send, or see what you paste.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which reading features are turned on, rough location (country/city), and device type. This is anonymous usage data — it never includes the text you paste.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. You can block these with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker, and the site will still work.
The Chrome extension
- It reads the text on the pages you visit only to restyle it (for example, bolding the start of each word). All of this happens on your computer. Page text is never collected, stored, or sent anywhere.
- Your settings (reading mode, intensity, which sites it's turned off on) are saved with Chrome's built-in storage. If you use Chrome sync, Chrome may sync these settings across your devices.
- The extension doesn't use analytics or tracking.
- If you uninstall it, Chrome opens a short optional "why are you leaving?" page on our website. Filling it out is completely up to you.
Feedback form
- If you send feedback, we receive what you write in the form (collected with Google Forms). Your email is optional and only used to reply to you.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never collect the text you read or paste.
- We don't show ads.
